Week 19 in Durham 2: You'll Never Guess Who My Companion Is!!

Hey Everyone!

So transfers have happened and I have my new companion. Funny story is that I have been companions with this person before! I am with Elder Larsen! I was with him when I was in Dunn. He's the one who plays the organ. It's pretty cool! This week was pretty good. We found 12 people who wanted us to come back and talk to them! We will see how solid they are this week.

Having P-Day on Tuesday is super weird! But, it is Halloween today, and that's exciting!

Monday was a P-Day.We spent most of it getting ready for the transfer.

Tuesday we went to the Raleigh Stake Center for transfers, They had a departing missionary testimony meeting, because we didn't have a Zone Conference last transfer. I picked Elder Larsen up and we came back to D2. After we got back home, we decided to go for a little walk around the neighborhood, and the main road by our house. We ran into a homeless guy. He was walking past us, and he turned and said, "I am tired of everyone looking down on the homeless. They all think they're better than us. Look at this face! This is the face of how done I am with everyone. Take a good look at this face. You'll see it on the news tomorrow." Then, he walked away. So, yeah...that was an exciting first taste of Durham for Elder Larsen.

Wednesday we had District Meeting. Noting too exciting.

Nothing really happened on Thursday.

We have this thing we do on Fridays with the Sister missionaries. We have Floral Friday. We all wear floral.

On Saturday, we had the Ward Fall Festival. The missionaries got to be the judges of the Chili Cook Off. It's a big rivalry in the ward to see who wins, so they ask us to the the judges so no one get angry with other ward members. We also wore our costumes! Elder Larsen was a lion. And I was a unicorn jedi (I used my lightsaber and Elder Larsen's).  It was super fun!

Well, that was our week! I hope you all liked it!!

Love,
Elder Merritt

PS Just a few photos of the Fall Festival
