Week 4 in Wilmington 2: I Rode A Turtle!

Hey, Everyone! So this week was pretty good. Just like most weeks! We did a lot of tracting, but we tried something a little different while we tracted. Since Easter is right around the corner, we decided to show people an Easter themed video at the door. We had a really cool thing happen while we were doing that, but I'll get to that later.
Last Monday. we went to the aquarium. It was pretty cool...we saw a lot of fish...or fishes? I'm not sure which one. Anyways, I got to pet a shark!! There was big, bronze turtle statue, too. I rode that turtle!

On Wednesday, we went and saw Marshall. We answered a lot of his questions. At the end of his lesson, he said, "Congratulations, Mormons! You've mad it farther than all other religions that have come here! They're all afraid to answer my questions, and then never come back." So, I guess we are at least doing one thing right!

On Friday, We went to help one of the Sisters' recent converts with his house. I got to paint a room., and I might become a professional painter now!

On Saturday, while we were tracting, we were showing people The Because of Him video. We saw a lady go into her apartment a few doors down. We felt prompted to go talk to her. We knocked on her door, and showed her the video. She started crying, and told us that she had been going through  hard time recently. She told us that we were sent from God to talk to her. It was pretty cool!

Sunday we went to a member's home for an Easter party. The missionaries got to hide the eggs! That was fun!!

That was my week! Talk to you next week!!

Week 3 in Wilmington2: The Week of Elder Rasband

Hey Everyone! This week was awesome! We found 4 people this week and set a baptismal date with Theodore. It was pretty good!

On Monday we did our normal P-Day stuff. It rained and was pretty windy too.

Tuesday, we had our lesson with Theodore. It was a pretty good one. We read from the Book of Mormon with him. We helped him under stand why priesthood authority is necessary.

Wednesday we had District Meeting and went on exchange with the Hampstead elders. I stayed in Wilmington with Elder Cox. We did a lot of tracting. We actually found all 4 investigators for the week on this day! We had an appointment, but it fell through. We were talking to Steve- one of our investigators- and his friend came over. He told us that his truck was stuck in the mud. We helped him push it out. We also found a guy, Mark, who is a pastor. He sounded like he wanted to prove us wrong the next time we go over, so we'll see how it goes.

Thursday, we had weekly planning. And we tracted some more.

On Friday, we had our lesson with Douglas and Danielle. It was an ok lesson. They said they would come to church.

Saturday we had our mission wide conference with Elder Rasband. It was awesome. I learned a ton from him!

Sunday Douglass and  Danielle didn't come to church. But, Elder Rasband spoke at our stake conference, so I got hear from him two days in a row!

That was our week!! Just thought I'd share some pictures form the mission conference. And, of a funny doormat! Have a good week!

Week 2 in Wilmington 2: Coming To You From Walmart!

Hey, Everyone! So this week was awesome! We found 8 people, 4 or 5 are pretty solid.

Last Monday, we went to the beach. It was a blast! We played Ultimate Football and just hung out. It was a great P-Day.

One of our investigators we found our first week, actually remembered his appointment. We taught Douglas and even his wife joined in! It was a super good lesson! We answered a ton of questions and invited them to come to church. They weren't able to come because he was working, but they are excited come this weekend! And something that is awesome about them coming this next Sunday is Elder Rasband will be there! It's going to be so cool to have and Apostle come to our stake. We are going to have a mission wide conference and he will be speaking to us!

We were out tracting on Tuesday. We knocked on this one door, and a guy poked his head out a window upstairs.  he told us to come in. Well, seeing that we never get this opportunity, we took it! We opened the door, and this big, black dog was there to greet us! Her name was Pepper. Her owner came down, his name is Theodore. He is a super cool guy and very religious. We shared the whole Restoration with him. He wants us to come back to share more!

On Thursday, we were on exchange with the Assistants. I was with Elder Hunsaker. Elder Cummings was with Elder Rawlins. Elder Hunsaker and I met a cool guy named Marshall. We get to back and see him on Wednesday.

Well, that was our week! It was super fun and full of stuff! Talk to you next week!

Week 1 in Wilmington 2: 1st Week Training

Hey Everyone! So, this week was good. We found 4 people who invited us to come back. Hopefully, they turn out to be good. My companion is Elder Cummings. He is from West Jordan. UT. Funny story: we actually went to middle school together! So that's cool!

We ended up tracting a lot this week. Since we both came into the area, we are still trying to figure things out. We met a guy named Douglas who is super cool!

We are headed out to an activity at the beach, so sorry this is really short. You guys are all awesome!! Have a good week! Talk to you next week!

P.S. I started cooking again since my parents got mad that I was spending too much money on food. I made bacon wrapped chicken and potatoes. It was pretty good!!
